Building Energy Rating Certificates From the 1st of January 2009 a BER certificate will be compulsory for all homes being sold, leased or rented. BER assessments will be carried out by specially trained BER assessors, registered by Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI). If you are planning to sell or rent your property, please contact BER West to arrange a Building Energy Rating.
