In 2011, the introduction of an Essential Driver Training (EDT) was one of the driving forces for which the RSA School of Motoring has become a response to. What the EDT stipulates is that for learner drivers to be able to sit their driving test, they needed to earn a certificate from an RSA authorised driving instructor. In order to ensure that you are fully prepared before you sit for your driving test, a certification can only be issued after going through 12 one hour lessons taken within a six-month period. The EDT program aims that all learner drivers are able to master the 12 essential driving maneuvers that are required for one to become a competent and safe driver. RSA School of Motoring has heeded the call of ensuring that only able drivers are able to get on the road by making sure that each EDT course is taught properly by specially trained instructors. On top of EDT courses, RSA School of Motoring also provides the following other services: - Automatic and manual vehicle driving lessons - Free pick up and drop off from college, home or work - Specialist pre-test packages - Male and female driving instructors - Refresher driving courses - Intensive driving courses - Training for driving instructors To make it more convenient for prospective learner drivers and parents to avail of the services of RSA School of Motoring, driving lesson gift vouchers may be purchased on the RSA School of Motoring website.
