Hoped to be more SATC July 15, 2010 L When I bought this book, I was hoping to read about the Carrie we know before SATC, however, this is not a book about her, but about a teenager that wants to be a writer (the only similarity with SATC). Acutally, you can find it in children sections in the libraries.
This book is easy to read (in spite of English not being my mother tongue, as you may have noticed) and entertaining, but disappointing when you are looking to find out more about Carrie.
Best book ive read in ages July 8, 2010 Coley (Ireland) The only way to descrobe this book is that i wish i hadnt read it just so i could have the joy of reading it all over again.
I hadnt read any of the other of the sex and city books so i didnt know what to expect but i picked it up one day when i was bored and finished that evening. Loved every second. Defiently a book for any girl over the age of 13.
Now im just wondering if sex and the city is as good....
you cant help but get carrie-d away! July 3, 2010 CJW I got the book not so long ago, i read the first few chapters and as i was in no rush decided to read the book bt by bit when I had time. Then I continued reading it and within 2 days read the rest of the book, you cant help but love the character of Carrie Bradshaw and the book whilst not being complicated or overly suprising, is perfectly written so you can imagine the details you need to, what the characters are like, the town where she comes from and just whats going on. This book is a must read for all SATC fans, aswell as anybody else who is interested in this type of novel, Candace Bushnell to me is such a clever, witty writer that she makes anything work, this book is played out perfectly and the last page ( if your a satc fan or familair with) leaves you smiling at satisfied, i think this book would make a perfect movie or could well be due a sequel, give it a go!
The Carrie Diaries June 25, 2010 Olga Walker (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nothing special. Carrie in this book has no connection to Carrie in "Sex and the city", which is extremely boring anyway.
Fab book! June 21, 2010 L. M. Francis (Brentwood, Essex, UK) Absolutely fantastic book, couldn't put it down from start to finish. Very easy reading, took me back to being a child in high school in the 80's, highly recommend reading it to bring out your childish side :)
