| Customer Reviews: A trip down memory lane and a laugh for your kids May 9, 2006 S. Nelson (London) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If, like me, you're over 40, then this will appeal as you titter at the 'big' hairstyles, fluorescent leotards, leggings, sweatbands and gorgeously camp male class members. Then there's terminally perky Laurel, who is so energetic and enthusiatic, she looks as if she appears courtesy of the local crack den and you'll certainly tone your buttocks (through embarrassed clenching) as she introduces classmate Jeannie - "Meet my girlfriend Jeannie - now she's your girlfriend too!" My children literally keel over with laughter at this, but I love it! All joking aside, this is a good (if slightly complex - but practice makes perfect) workout, that feels more like a dance class. There's no toning/crunches/proper cooldown stretch section, but it certainly gets your heart rate up there for however long you choose to do it - there are 20, 40 and 60 minute sections. My only beef is with Jane's occasional faux pas when choosing the soundtrack. One dance section has a song that heavily features the lyrics "It isn't easy - you have to pay the price", which personally makes me want to throw a cushion at the TV. Overall, I'd say that this is excellent for a laugh - and a jolly good workout.
I love it! July 22, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been doing this video for years now, and i still love it! I know it's a bit dated but i just find that amusing. The actual aerobic routines are really good, the fact that some of them are challenging is what i like about it. I can do every move now and completing the video always makes me feel like i've had a proper workout. The dances are fun, i hate nothing more than a slow-moving, boringly-easy exercise video and this certainly is not it!

This video is awfully cheesy and dated! Jane Fonda is wearing an awful bodice which seems really uncomfortable, and her fellow exercisers look dodgy! The video includes intermediate aerobics. The choreography is clumsy and some of the moves are complicated to follow. You never know, you may like it?
